Compared with the previous flower festivals, the 2011 flower festival will be more attractive by holding events including flower commodities fair, commodities fair, painting and photography exhibition, and singing contest.

The flower commodities fair began on June 3, and will end on June 9, with the participation of over 300 flower growers and covering hundreds of varieties of flowers. The commodities fair will continue till June 18. And the sing contest will be held at Yiliang hall on June 6. The painting and photography exhibition will be held at a local temple on June 9.

The flower festival is a traditional folk event of Yiliang County, which was first held by local government in 1991. It has now become an important event in promoting the foreign trade of Yiliang County.
